ISLAMABAD: Saudi envoy Nawaf Saeed Al Maliki met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Friday and congratulated him on his party’s performance in the general elections 2018.
During a meeting with Khan at Bani Gala, the Saudi envoy expressed satisfaction over peaceful election proceedings and congratulated the PTI chief over his party’s triumph in general elections.
He said that Khan’s press conference on Thursday was unique and inclusive and that Saudi Arabia endorses whatever Imran said about the friendly and vital relations between the two countries.
“Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share a relationship of love and brotherhood and we are hopeful of maintain strong ties with the next government and further enhance our mutual friendship,” the envoy said.
Al Maliki also confirmed that a Saudi delegation will visit Pakistan as soon as the next government takes oath and will lay foundations to a new era of healthy relations between the two countries.
Speaking on the occasion, the PTI chief thanked the Saudi convoy and said that Pakistan and KSA are trustworthy friends and that the PTI government will enhance ties between the two countries as KSA is an integral party of PTI’s foreign policy.
