UNITED NATIONS: UN secretary general on Wednesday deplored the killing of seven policemen guarding polio workers in Karachi, saying that the eradication of polio is critical to the global health agenda. UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said, “It is not only an attack on the health workers but also against the people who are trying to serve in difficult conditions”. He said that the polio workers who are doing an amazing job should be protected.
