Two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel lost their lives, in a road accident, when their vehicle fell in a deep ravine near the Anzari Checkpoint of Landi Kotal on Monday. Security officials confirmed the incident and said, FC personnel Hawaldar Banaras and Lance Naik Amir Jan were travelling in an official vehicle, when it met with an accident while negotiating a sharp turn near Enzari checkpost, killing both of them on the spot.
Soon after the accident, FC personnel rushed to the site to recover the bodies and later shifted it to the forces health center in Landi Kotal for medico-legal formalities.
Later, the corpses of the deceased were transported to their native Bannu and Lakki Marwat districts for burial.
